My father had a recipe for scrapple that tastes like Goetta and is of the same texture. His father brought it with him from Germany in 1903. It’s all in the spices. I have tried numerous brands of scrapple over the years and they were all bland, nothing like my dad’s. Then I tasted Goetta about 5 years ago. I thought I died and went to heaven. It tastes just like my dad’s scrapple.
